Eligibility & Restricted Territories

Last updated: 18 July 2026

This page explains who may use the CoinX Games section of CoinXchange (the “Games,” accessible at coinxchange.xyz/games) — the minimum age, the places we do not offer the Games to, and your own responsibility for the laws that apply where you live.

It is written for transparency and to help you decide whether the Games are appropriate and lawful for you. It is not legal advice to you, and it is not a promise that using the Games is legal in your specific situation. If you are unsure whether you may lawfully take part, seek independent legal advice or simply do not play.

These rules are in addition to, and form part of, the CoinX Games Terms & Conditions and the general CoinXchange Terms & Conditions. Where they use capitalized terms like “Service,” those terms carry the meaning given in the Games Terms.

1. Minimum age — 18+ (or higher where your local law requires)

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Games. If the law that applies to you sets a higher minimum age for gambling or games of chance, that higher age applies to you instead.

By connecting a wallet and playing, you confirm that you meet the applicable minimum age and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

The Games are not intended for, and must not be used by, minors. We ask you to keep your wallet, device, and recovery phrases away from anyone under the applicable minimum age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has used the Games with your device or wallet, contact us at [email protected].

We display an age acknowledgement before you play. Because the Games are non-custodial and there are no accounts, this is a self-declared confirmation — it relies on the honesty of your answer and does not, and cannot, verify identity documents. Confirming falsely does not make you eligible.

2. The Games are games of chance with a real risk of loss

The two live Games are:

  • Duels — a 1v1 player-versus-player coin flip. Two players stake an equal amount; a single verifiable random draw decides the winner, who takes the pot minus a protocol fee.
  • The Pot — a communal jackpot. Multiple players buy in with USDT and one on-chain random draw picks a single winner, who takes the pot minus a protocol fee.

Both are games of chance. Outcomes are random and settled on-chain, and you can lose your entire stake. A protocol fee (rake) of 10% is deducted from each pot, which means that, on average and over time, the total paid out to players is less than the total staked. The Games are not an investment, savings product, or a source of income, and nothing here is a promise of profit, winnings, or “passive” returns. Only play with funds you can afford to lose. See our Risk Disclaimer and Responsible Gaming pages before you play.

3. Where the Games are not offered (restricted territories)

We do not offer the Games to people who are located in, or who are residents or nationals of, certain jurisdictions. This is a contractual condition of using the Games and a representation you make when you access them — it applies whether or not you are physically able to reach the interface.

Excluded territories currently include (this list is not final and may be expanded):

  • The United States and its territories and possessions
  • The United Kingdom
  • Any jurisdiction, region, or person subject to comprehensive economic sanctions, including those maintained by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the United Nations, the European Union, or the United Kingdom — currently including Iran, Syria, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, and Myanmar, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions
  • Any other jurisdiction where online gambling, games of chance for value, or the use of crypto-assets for such games is prohibited or restricted by applicable law

You also may not use the Games if you appear on any applicable sanctions or restricted-persons list, or if you are acting on behalf of anyone who does.

How this works. The Games are decentralized, non-custodial software running on a public blockchain. We do not verify, screen, or geo-block your location, and we do not collect your location to gate access. Instead, eligibility is your own responsibility: by accessing the Games you represent and warrant that you are not located in, resident in, or accessing from a Restricted Territory, and that taking part in real-money on-chain games of chance is lawful where you are. You must not use the Games from a Restricted Territory, and you must not misrepresent your location, residence, or nationality in order to use them. Doing either is a breach of these rules and of the Games Terms.

Because the Games are non-custodial and run on a public blockchain, we cannot reverse a transaction once it is submitted. If you play from a place where you are not permitted to, we cannot undo it, and you remain responsible for the consequences.

4. You are responsible for your own local laws

Laws on gambling, games of chance, and crypto-assets differ widely from country to country — and sometimes from state to state or region to region — and they are still changing.

It is your responsibility, not ours, to know and follow the laws that apply to you. By using the Games you confirm that:

  • You have checked, to your own satisfaction, that taking part in games of chance for value using crypto-assets is lawful for you where you are located and where you reside; and
  • You are not accessing the Games from, and are not a resident or national of, an excluded or prohibited territory; and
  • You are solely responsible for any tax, reporting, or other legal obligations that arise from your play.

We do not, and cannot, give you legal or tax advice about your situation. If online gaming is not legal for you, or you are not sure, do not use the Games.

5. Honest note on our legal status

CoinXchange Games is an informal, independent project run by an individual. We do not hold, and do not claim to hold, any gambling license, regulatory authorization, or certification, and we are not registered with any gambling regulator. There is no operating company, registration number, or physical address behind the Service that we have not published, because there is no such entity — it is an individual, unlicensed software project. We do not present ourselves as a licensed operator.

What we do offer instead is verifiability: the Games are non-custodial (funds move wallet-to-wallet through smart contracts on BNB Chain in USDT — we never hold your funds), player-versus-player with no house bankroll (you play against other users; we take only a transparent protocol fee and do not bet against you), and provably fair (outcomes are decided by Chainlink VRF and settle on-chain, publicly auditable on BscScan). You can read more on our Provably Fair page.

The absence of a license does not remove your obligation to follow the law where you are.

Governing law and dispute venue will be specified upon formation of an operating entity; seek local legal advice.

6. Consequences of not meeting these requirements

If you use the Games while not eligible — for example, because you are under the applicable minimum age, are in or a national of an excluded territory, or misrepresented your location or eligibility — you are in breach of these rules and of the Games Terms. We reserve the right to restrict access at our discretion and to cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities. Because the Games are non-custodial and settle on-chain, we cannot recover, reverse, or refund transactions, and we are not liable for losses arising from ineligible use.

7. Changes to these rules

We may update this page from time to time — for example, to change the list of excluded territories or to reflect changes in law. The version in force is the one published here, dated at the top. Continuing to use the Games after an update takes effect means you accept the updated rules. Please check this page before you play.

8. Contact

Questions about eligibility, restricted territories, or a request to prevent a minor from using the Games can be sent to [email protected]. For help with gambling harm, see our Responsible Gaming page, which links to independent support organizations.

18+ (or the higher minimum where you live). The Games are games of chance with a real risk of loss — never a way to earn, save, or grow money. Crypto-asset and smart-contract risks apply. You are responsible for the laws that apply to you. This page is provided for transparency and is not legal advice to you.
