Cross-chain Swap
How cross-chain swapping works on CoinXchange
CoinXchange Swap moves a token on one blockchain into a different token on another blockchain in a single confirmation. It is non-custodial: the swap executes from your own wallet, CoinXchange never takes possession of your funds, and there is no account, sign-up, or identity check to complete first.
A cross-chain swap is harder than a normal trade because no single exchange holds both assets. CoinXchange solves this by aggregating routes — it queries decentralised exchanges and bridges across supported networks, compares the total cost of each possible path including bridge fees and gas, and presents the best available quote at the moment you confirm. Routing is powered by the LI.FI aggregation layer.
Supported networks span more than 70 chains across five distinct ecosystems: EVM chains such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche, Linea, zkSync, Scroll and Mantle, plus Solana, Bitcoin, Sui and Tron. Because these ecosystems use different address formats and signing schemes, CoinXchange connects the appropriate wallet type for whichever pair you choose.
CoinXchange charges 0.30% on a swap. That fee is already included in the quote you see before confirming — there is no separate charge afterwards. You also pay the network's own gas cost and any third-party bridge fee, both of which are shown in the route breakdown. Quotes are live and expire; the rate is fixed only when you sign.
Frequently asked questions
How does a cross-chain swap work?
- CoinXchange finds a route that combines a decentralised exchange trade with a bridge transfer, then executes both steps from your wallet. You approve the token, sign one transaction, and the destination asset arrives on the target chain. Because settlement happens on-chain rather than inside an exchange account, there is no deposit or withdrawal step and nothing to wait for beyond block confirmations.
What does CoinXchange Swap cost?
- CoinXchange charges a 0.30% fee, which is built into the quote shown before you confirm. On top of that you pay blockchain gas and, for cross-chain routes, whatever the underlying bridge charges. Every component appears in the route breakdown, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay.
Which blockchains does CoinXchange support?
- More than 70 networks across five ecosystems: EVM chains including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche, Linea, zkSync, Scroll and Mantle, plus Solana, Bitcoin, Sui and Tron. Available pairs depend on liquidity at the time you request a quote.
Is CoinXchange custodial? Do I need an account?
- No to both. CoinXchange is non-custodial — your funds stay in your wallet and the swap executes directly from it, so CoinXchange cannot move, freeze, or lose your assets. There is no account to create, no email, no password, and no identity verification. Connecting a wallet is the entire onboarding process.
What happens if a swap fails partway through?
- Cross-chain routes execute in steps, and a route can fail after the source-chain step succeeds — usually because liquidity moved or slippage exceeded tolerance. When that happens the funds are not lost: they land on the destination chain as the bridge's intermediate asset, and the interface shows a recovery action to complete or reverse the swap. Keep a small gas balance on the destination chain so you can act on it.
